Uschi Keszler Presents the Pennies in Action Fund

We want to thank everyone who has taken part in our Penny a Day Club. Unfortunately, due to a low response to the Club, and the necessity of focusing our efforts on the rapidly growing vaccine research, we are discontinuing this part of our fundraising for now. We plan to reinstate the Penny a Day Club in the future when our organization is larger, and we have more visibility, as well as more volunteers to administer the program. We will be giving the money raised in the Penny a Day Club to an organization that helps wounded soldiers where it can be pooled with their funds for the widest use. While we had hoped to help individual soldiers, the amount we raised will be of more use when combined with funds from another organization that specifically is for helping wounded veterans.

The Penny a Day Club was started to not only help the war on cancer, but to also help soldiers who have been injured in action. These servicepeople have voluntarily put themselves in harms way, and we wished to honor them and offer them assistance. The Club set aside $1 out of a donation/membership for aid for wounded veterans, with the rest of the donation going to the vaccine research.

Thank you for your donations - we look forward to starting up the Club again in the future, and making it a more successful venture.
